Is Your Yard full of Mosquitoes?

Mosquito Biting Skin

Our mosquito control treatment reduces mosquitoes, as well as pesky gnats, safely and effectively, with monthly application.

After doing a property survey to help reduce mosquito breeding sites, we spray your yard, shrubs and surrounding areas. Most yards respond to a monthly treatment, but some yards may need treatment every 3 weeks.

We do not require a subscription and most of our customers request a monthly application from April to September, each year. We can also treat near ponds and lakes with an all natural chemical.

Some Facts about Mosquitoes

some interesting facts about mosquitoes:

  • Mosquitoes: The World’s Deadliest Animal
Mosquitoes may be small, but they’re responsible for more deaths than any other animal. Every year, between one and five million people lose their lives to diseases spread by mosquito bites.
  • Mosquitoes Multiply Quickly
Mosquitoes reproduce fast! In just 45 days, two mosquitoes can turn into 50 million. Female mosquitoes live for one to two months and can lay anywhere from 100 to 500 eggs in their lifetime.
  • Blood Meals Are Essential for Mosquitoes
To lay eggs, female mosquitoes need to feed on blood from humans or animals. Unfortunately, this is also how they pick up and spread harmful diseases.
  • Water Is Key to Mosquito Survival
Mosquito eggs need water to hatch. If water is removed, their eggs and young stages (larvae and pupae) will dry out and die.
  • Incredible Senses and Flying Distance
Mosquitoes are amazing at finding us! They can smell human body odor from as far as 100 feet away. Plus, they can travel up to 20 miles during their lifetime.

You might be surprised to learn that many people in South Carolina are infected with mosquito borne diseases every year. Although most never know it, because the symptoms are mild, a few may die or become partially paralyzed.

Control Mosquitoes Using the 5 T’s

  • Tip
Once a week, tip out anything that can hold water, like flower pots, birdbaths, and buckets. Mosquitoes need water to breed, so keeping things dry helps reduce their numbers.
  • Toss
Clear out any leaf piles, tree trimmings, or lawn debris where mosquitoes love to hide. Also, toss out any items that can collect water, like old tires, cans, buckets, and broken flower pots where they can lay eggs.
  • Turn
Turn over toys, sports equipment, and anything else that could catch and hold rainwater. Keeping these items dry helps stop mosquitoes from laying eggs.
  • Tarp
If you cover boats, lawnmowers, or woodpiles with tarps, make sure the tarps are pulled tight. Water can easily collect in loose tarps, creating a perfect spot for mosquitoes to breed.
  • Treat
For extra protection, have a professional treat your yard with misting equipment, focusing on bushes, shady spots, and under decks where mosquitoes like to hide.
